Summer Lightning

First published in 1929, this is a ninth printing from around 1942. 318pp [2]. Original bright orange cloth, with black lettering front and spine. 12mo. Boards a little rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends. Endpapers a little toned. Front free endpaper has a previous owner’s stamp and a small bookseller’s ticket. Text block edges a little toned. In its first state dust jacket – gypsy caravan jogging along on the spine while on the front a white lightning sparks from a seated gentleman’s quill pen. Dust jacket bumped and a little rubbed at edges, some minor soiling on verso. 5/ price label affixed to spine. Now protected in a Mylar-style protected wrapper fitted without the use of tape or adhesives. A Blandings set novel.
