Undated, circa 1854??. A delightful, concertina alphabet book, with A on the front covers, a page a piece for all other letters, with sparkling, hand coloured lithographs of exotic animals to illustrate each letter. In embossed cloth-covered boards. 24mo. Boards worn, lightly rubbed on corners and spine ends, and a little spotted, with a little soiling. Internally some occasional spotting and a little warping, and the last page as a rust mark, but generally neat, clean and bright. There’s an inscription on the rear paste down, dated 1854.
