1st US edition, first printing (previously published in the UK). 442pp. Inscribed by the author of the front free endpaper, ‘Ethel, With the Author’s love, August 1919’. In red cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on spine. 8vo. Cloth a little worn and faded, rubbed and rounded at edges, creased over a sunned spine. Internally some faint spotting on first and last few pages, else neat, clean, bright and tight. Brebner was a popular British author of adventure and detective fiction. This is one of his later, and harder to find, titles.
