Boards very slightly rounded at spine ends, faint and occasional spotting on first and last few leaves, else neat, clean, bright and tight throughout. In its original dust jacket, a little chipping at edges, sunned around spine, lightly soiled. The action of this dramatic narrative poem is laid in the Fontainebleau district of France during the German occupation and concerns a French family torn between their fear of the invader and their love for their country.
