First edition, first impression (Waterstone’s Exclusive state).  Signed by the author on the half title page.  Blue cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on the spine.  Coloured, illustrated endpapers.  328pp, with occasional line drawings in text.  8vo.  There’s a hint of spotting on the text block edges else volume is neat, clean, bright and tight throughout.  In its original illustrated dust wrapper, not price clipped, very slightly bumped at edges.  Dust wrapper now protected in an archival-quality Mylar sleeve, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives.
