First edition, first impression.  264pp.  Maroon cloth-covered boards, blue lettering on the spine.  8vo.  Cloth gently rounded at corners and spine tips.  Some spotting on text block edges and first and last few leaves else internally neat and clean.  In its original dust wrapper, a little rubbed and bumped at edges, slightly faded  and sunned over spine.  Dust jacket now protected in a clear, removable film sleeve. 

The book upon which the film HMS Defiant, starring Alex Guinness and Dirk Bogarde, was based.  A shocking and murderous uprising on board a British frigate during the Napoleonic Wars.
