Complete in two volumes. 182pp, with fold out family tree; 230pp, with two fold out charts. Both volumes uniformly bound in blue cloth-covered boards with gilt titles to spine. 8vos. Upper text block edges heavily dust darkened, with some spotting on remaining edges. A previous owner’s name neatly inked on both front free endpapers, both volumes have some spotting on endpapers and a hint of page toning. Both in their original dust wrappers, quite heavily shelf worn and a little rubbed and bumped on extreme edges. Dust wrappers feature Sir Derek Jacobi as Claudius, from the 1970s BBC TV series.
