First edition, first impression. xii, [2], 244pp, with monochrome plate frontispiece, a central section of monochrome plates and a large folding map at rear. Red cloth-covered boards, gilt stamped lettering on the spine. 8vo. Covers are rubbed extreme corners and spine ends, traces of dustiness to upper text block edge. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original matte dust wrapper, rubbed and bumped at edges, lightly sunned over the spine, some shelf wear and two tiny black spot marks on the rear panel.
