Second edition. xvi, 386pp, with 433 engravings on wood, six plates and three folding diagrams. In brown cloth-covered boards, decorated, gilt lettering on spine. 8vo. Cloth is very worn, rippled, rubbed at edges and rounded on corners and spine ends, slightly chipped at spine ends. Text blockedges toned. Endpapers a little toned; some faint and occasional spotting. Previous owner’s name inked opposite half title. Pages some mild creasing, occasional waviness and general signs of handling.
