First edition, first impression. 280pp, with portrait plate frontispiece. Blue cloth-covered boards, black lettering on spine. 8vo. Boards worn and faded rubbed and indented on edges and over spine, gently rounded on corners. Upper text block edge toned, with some spotting on remaining edges. Internally a little less than bright but neat, clean and tight.
