Undated but c 1940. 156pp, colour plate frontispiece, black and white illustrations. In red cloth-covered boards with gilt titles to spine. Illustrated endpapers 8vo. Cloth very slightly rounded at spine head, some spotting on text block edges and prelims, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. A very good copy in its original dust jacket (worn and chipped at edges, minor loss at spine head). A collection of ten short plays selected to suit a wide range of tastes from the burlesque and melodrama to scenes from Shakespeare, so that makers of marionette theatre need no further texts.
