36pp large format stapled booklet in laminated, illustrated stiff card covers, with many black and white photographic reproductions of 19th century postcards. 8vo. Covers are a little shelf worn and gently rubbed at edges in places. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight.

Tennyson, Queen Victoria’s Poet Laureate, was widely explored by postcard manufacturers, many of the postcards becoming series collector’s items. This booklet, reproducing many of those postcards, produced by Lincolnshire County Council in part to celebrate the poet’s birthday, provides an opportunity to explore and experience his work in a context reminiscent of that which his first readers would have shared.
