Reprint.  xxx, 298pp, with tissue-guarded frontispiece and numerous further illustrations all by Hugh Thomson.  Green cloth-covered boards, elaborately decorated with gilded design and gilt lettering front and spine.  All edges gilt.  Black endpapers. 12mo.  Cloth is worn and marked, with gilding rubbed around lower leading corner, softened and edges, marked and mottled on rear panel, rubbed on corners and spine ends.  Endpapers have some lighting scuff marks.  Previous owner’s name on verso of front endpaper, and another inked on the half title page.  A little spotting on first and last few pages. No better than fair condition over all.
