First edition.  ix, 320pp.  Blue cloth-covered boards with black design on front, black lettering on spine.  Decorated endpapers.  16mo.  Cloth rubbed and rounded on corners and spine ends, faded along top edge.  Text block edges toned, affecting page margins, previous owner’s name and stamp on title page else internally neat, clean, bright and tight.  In its original dust wrapper, shelf worn, a little faded, bumped and chipped on extreme edges, sunned over spine.

The Teach Yourself series of books began in 1938 and was published under the English Universities Press imprint until 1966. Well respected in particular for its language education and mathematics books, the series covers a broad range of topics.  Originally published in hardback the series transitioned to paperback during the 1970s.  The series has become collectible in its own right and a Concise Guide to Teach Yourself Books was published as early as 1958.  There are several hundred titles in the series.  We have many in stock and can offer generous discounts to those ordering more than one title at a time.  Please inquire.
