First US edition, first printing. 314pp. In orange cloth boards with black lettering front and spine. 8vo. Cloth a little worn, gently rubbed at corners and spine ends. Top text block edge dust darkened. Previous owner’s name neatly stamped on front free endpaper, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original dust jacket, a little toned and shelf worn, gently rubbed at edges and lightly chipped on front fold. Dust jacket now protected in a Brodart-style sleeve, fitted without the use of tape of adhesives. The dramatic story of a man god who exchanges his heavenly powers for earthly existence.
