xvi, 400pp.  Cloth-covered boards, printed on high grade paper, top edge gilt, remaining edges deckled. Title page printed in blue and black.  Printed at the Florentine Press in August 1913.  8vo.  Worn and shaken, chipping round board edges.  Gift card with personal inscription cut into the front free endpaper, which also carries a stamped motif with the date Jan 16 1938(?).  Signs of handling internally throughout, with some minor chipping at page edges, mild smudge markings on endpapers, and occasional faint foxing, a couple of corner creases.  In its original worn and torn dust wrapper, slightly soiled, lower portion of backstrip absent, chipped and cracking, lightly foxed especially on rear panel.  Dust wrapper in an old clear film sleeve, itself chipping at spine ends, fitted by taping it to itself (not affixed to jacket or volume).
