History and accounts of three of Knaresborough’s most famous inhabitants – Mother Skipton, John Metcalfe aka Blind Jack of Knaresborough, and the murderer Eugene Aram; of the latter there is a particularly interesting short section at the end recording local inhabitants’ recollections of the man and the events that made him infamous.
