In fair condition only but a good reading or reference copy for a work that is relatively hard to find and can be pricey in better condition. August Kubizek (1888-1956) was an Austrian conductor and writer. He first met Adolf Hitler when both were teenagers at the Landestheatre in Linz, where both were seeking seats for a Wagner opera. They became close friends, later sharing rooms in Vienna while at college. The two parted paths but Kubizek maintained an interest in Hitler’s career, collecting mementos and with occasional correspondence. First published in German in 1953, his memoirs of their friendship caused quite a stir.
