First thus, second impression (1936).  338pp.  Black cloth-covered boards and gilt lettering on the spine.  Upper text block edges sprayed blue. 8vo.  Cloth is a little tired and faded, rubbed and rounded on corners and spine ends. Slightly skew.  Fore and lower text block edges darkened and spotted.  Some smudging and spotting on endpapers.; previous owner’s details flamboyantly inked on the front free endpaper. A little faint and occasional foxing on first and last few leaves.

Liddell Hart’s The British Way of Warfare was first published in 1932; this volume, is a revised and expanded version of that work, first published under its new title in 1935.  This copy is a first reprint of the 1935 edition. An influential and now scarce  work on military strategy.
