First edition, first impression.  82pp, with a monochrome plate portrait frontispiece.  Red cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on the spine.  8vo.  Volume is neat, clean, bright and tight throughout.  In its original, gently shelf worn dust jacket, not price clipped, a little sunned over spine.  Dust wrapper now protected in an archival-quality Mylar sleeve, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives.

This memoir focuses on four years in Boll’s childhood in the 1930s in Germany, a period which coincided with the rise of Hitler and Nazism in the country.
