Boards quite heavily rubbed all round edges, rounded on corners, a few mild scuff marks and some light scratches on verso. Titles and gilt top edge faded. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. First published in 1913, a work in which Freud applies his theories to the fields of archaeology, anthropology and the study of religion. It is a collection of four essays inspired by the works of Wilhelm Wundt and Carl Jung. Although widely considered one of the most important and influential works on anthropology, its value is still hotly debated.
