[1928] First edition. 314, [viii – publisher’s adds]pp. Blue cloth-covered boards with black lettering front and spine. 8vo. Cloth worn, faded – markedly over spine, rubbed at corners and spine ends, with some minor indentations on edges. Text block edges darkened and spotted. Previous owner’s name inked on front free endpaper. Endpapers a little tanned, with some faint and occasional spotting on first and last few leaves.
A very hard to find novel from the 1920s telling of Elsie and her dilemmas with her lover, her marriage and her times.
