Thundering Herd

Undated but circa 1925.  322pp.  Red cloth-covered boards, with blind embossed decoration, black titles on spine.  12mo.  Cloth s worn and scuffed, a little rounded on corners and spine ends, with top panel a little bowed.  Text block edges darkened and spotted.  Hint of tanning on endpapers.  Volume a little shaken, with one cracked gutter, falling open to title page.  In its original dust wrapper, worn and torn, rubbed and chipped at edges, some loss around spine head, self worn.  Dust wrapper in a clear film sleeve, removable.

In fair condition only but featuring a highly unusual dust wrapper which may appeal to the Zane Grey collector.  The dust wrapper is similar in appearance to the H&S yellow jacket series but is not badged as such, perhaps pre-dating the introduction of the series in the 1920s.
