(1) This Costly Countess: Bess of Hardwick by Elizabeth Eisenberg (published by J J Hall and Sons as part of Derbyshire Heritage series in 1985), a 44pp stapled booklet in laminated card covers with black and white illustrations; (2) Look at Hardwick Hall (designed, drawn and printed by Rena Gardiner, 1976), a 22pp stapled booklet in light card covers, with colour illustrations throughout, aimed at younger readers; and (3) Hardwick Hall by Mark Girouard (published by the National Trust in 1989), 96pp in laminated, illustrated card covers, with colour illustrations. All three volumes in very good condition, with just gentle edge to card covers, else neat, clean, bright and tight throughout.
