3rd edition, first printing.  124pp with numerous black and white plate illustrations, one folding map..  Red cloth-covered boards, gilt-stamped lettering on the spine.  8vo.  Cloth is a little worn, gently rubbed and rounded at corners and spine tips, and a few small marks on upper panel.  Upper text block edge dust darkened.  Internally neat, clean, bright and tight barring the occasional small spot marking. In its original worn and torn dust wrapper, chapped all round edges, with minor loss at spine head and base of rear panel.

Considers the geographical features, native inhabitants and indigenous animals of south-western Central Australia, with striking full page photographic illustrations reinforcing the narrative, told through the lens of the 1930s (when the book was first published).
