Two volumes in one. vi, [2], 9-350, [2]pp. Black cloth-covered boards with gilt design on front and gilt decorations and gilt lettering on blue relief on spine. Top edge sprayed red. 8vo. Cloth gently rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends, slightly shelf worn. Small stain on upper text block edge. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight.

A good, presentably smart and clean vintage copy of this classic of French literature, translated into English by C K Scott-Moncrieff.
