Undated. 156pp, ten black and white plates (inc. two frontispieces). Dark green boards with decorative illustrations and reverse gilt titles on the front and spine, illustrated chapter headers and footers, initial letters and some black and white in-text illustrations. 12mo. Corners rubbed and rounded, cloth rubbed through; spine ends rubbed; cloth wearing. Some soiling to boards and a very small dent on the edge of the spine on the board. Hinges cracked and volume very loose. Yellow endpapers soiled, minor loss to fore edge of front pastedown; previous owner’s address in rear pastedown. Gift inscription in pen on a verso of front free endpaper (dated 1890). Prelims foxing, small ink smudge on title page.
