Havelock the Dane (also known and the Lay of Havelok) is a 13th century Middle English Romance of medieval literature. It is thought to have been written sometime between 1285 and 1310 and is the second oldest surviving romance written in English. This edition was re-edited by the Rev Walter Skeat in the late 19th century from a manuscript (MS Laud Misc 108) held by the Bodleian Library in Oxford.
