The Fellowship pf the Ring, Being the First Part of the Lord of the Rings

First edition, fight impression, in a sixth impression dust jacket.  424pp, with a large, coloured folding map at rear.  Red cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on the spine.  Top edge sprayed red.  8vo.  Cloth a little rubbed and counted at spine ends, gently rubbed on extreme corners, with a couple of minor marks.   Titles on spine a little dull. Hint of shadowing to unsprayed edges and endpapers else internally neat. clean, bright and tight.  A lovely copy.  In its original dust wrapper, shelf worn, rubbed and a little bumped at edges,  rubbed around a sunned spine with a couple of small rub-throughs on joints and light scratches.  Light toning on rear panel and interior.  Dust wrapper now protected in an archival-quality Mylar sleeve, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives.
