Not dated but likely 1957. 280pp. Maroon cloth boards (faded at spine tips). Page toning. In its original dust jacket (a little faded, rubbed at edges, spine sunned). The story moves from espionage in the sub-Arctic and disaster at sea to war in the western desert, back to a squalid sequel to the Jacobite Rebellion, and on again to war in Korea.
