[1952] First edition, first printing. 188pp. In emerald green cloth-covered boards (rubbed at edges, cloth a little frayed at extreme corners and spine tips). Pages tanning, especially at margins, else internally clean and neat. In its original dust wrapper, now worn, chapped at edges, fraying at spine tips, with a couple of short nicks and scratches from edges, with some loss on verso. Jane Shaw was a prolific and popular author of children’s books in the mid 20th century, perhaps best remembered for her ‘Susan’ series.
