viii, 182pp, various black and white in-text illustrations. Yellow cloth-covered boards with red design to front and red title to spine. 12mo. Spotting on spine, water mark along top edges of boards. Corners and spine ends lightly rubbed and rounded. Text block edges lightly foxed. Gift inscription to front free endpaper. Prelims lightly foxed and tanned. Internally there is very occasional foxing otherwise this is a neat, clean, bright and tight volume. Dust jacket is tanned with moderate foxing to flaps. Chipped along the top with areas of minor loss to spine ends and to top and bottom edge. Illustrated throughout with drawings by Thea Doniach.
