Romain Gary: A Tall Story

First edition, first impression.  [6], 518pp, with occasional monochrome illustrations in text.  Pale blue paper-covered boards with black lettering on the spine.  Black endpapers.  8vo.  Boards just a little bumped at the base of the spine else volume is neat, clean, bright and tight throughout.  In its original dust wrapper, not price clipped, just a tad bumped along the lower edge.  

Romain Gary, who wrote under the pen name Émile Ajar, was a Lithuanian-born French novelist, diplomat, film director, and military aviator.  The only author to have won the Prix Goncourt twice, he is held to be one of the major writers of late 20th century French literature.
