Complete in two volumes. viii, 352pp, with monochrome plate frontispiece; viii, 304pp, with monochrome plate frontispiece. Both volumes uniformly bound in blue cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on the spine. Deckled edges. 8vos. Cloth a little tired, moderately rubbed and rounded on corners and spine ends, a few scattered white marks; volume two has a stain on the spine. Text block edges dull and dusty. Some faint and occasional spotting on endpapers and first and last few leaves. Bookplate from the University of Aberdeen’s Class Library on the front paste down of each volume but no other library markings and else internally neat, clean and tight.
