First edition, first impression. xii, 322pp. Black cloth-covered boards, silver lettering on the spine. 8vo. Cloth a little rubbed on edges, gently rounded at corners and spine ends. Some spotting on text block edges. Previous owner’s name on front paste down; another, obliterated on front free endpaper. Some rounding and minor corner creasing to lower leading corner of text block. Occasional signs of handling. Original laminated and illustrated dust wrapper, rubbed & bumped at edges, shelf worn, couple of short closed tears from edges, minor loss on corners.
