First edition, first impression.  xii, 476, 38pp, tissue-guarded frontispiece and seven further monochrome plate illustrations.  Deep green cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on the spine.  8vo.  Cloth a little worn, gently rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends.  Text block edges toned, some faint and occasional spotting internally, especially on lightly toned first and last few leaves.
