Cloth gently rounded at corners and spine ends, a couple of small white paper scars along fore edge. Upper text block edge very dust darkened. Ex libris bookplate on front paste down; hint of spotting on endpapers else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original dust wrapper, shelf worn, rubbed and a little bumped at edges, faded. Brief entry torn from a journal dated October 1947 relating to Hans Feibusch’s murals at the Dorchester Hotel in London loosely laid in.
Hans Feibusch (1898-1998) was a German Jewish refugee who fled Nazi Germany for London in the 1930s, having served in German army on the Russian front during the first world war. A talented painter and sculptor, He is widely credited with reviving the art of mural painting.
