First edition, first impression. 356pp, with a portrait plate frontispiece. Burnt umber cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on spine. 8vo. Cloth is a little worn and tired, gently rounded at corners, rubbed all round a sunned spine, a few white marks on upper panel. Remainder mark on lower text block edge, all edges a little toned and spotted. Some faint spotting on endpapers, slight crack to front hinge, else internally neat, clean and tight.
