448pp. Colour plate frontispiece, glossy extra colour printed title page. In decoration trade cloth binding, illustrated front and spine. Top edge gilt. 8vo. Cloth rubbed and rounded at corners and spine, gently worn. A little toning on plain text edges and endpapers. Two previous owner’s inscriptions on front free endpaper, one dated 1912 and the latter 1920. Hint of toning to page margins, light and occasional smudge marks, one page has tiny corner crease. A handsome, attractive vintage volume.
