First edition, first printing.  296pp, with black and white plate illustrations, maps and charts, and one large fold-out chart showing Shakespeare’s connections with notable figures and relations.  Green cloth-covered boards with gilt motif on upper panel, gilt lettering on spine.  8vo.  Ex lending library copy with library markings on front endpapers and small, discreet stamp on copyright page (no other library markings).  Cloth is a little worn and tired, slightly browned in margins, gently rounded at corners and ends of  lightly sunned spine.  A little loosened.  Internally neat, clean and bright.

A thorough re-examination of documentary sources which reveal aspects of the life of William Shakespeare.
