Contains all the editions of “The Girl’s Own Paper” from October 7 1893 to September 291894 (Vol XV No 719 to No 770). The Girl’s Own Paper was published by The Religious Tract Society (later Lutterworth Press) and packed full of stories, articles, activities, songs, poems and titbits of information and advice for wholesome young girls. Lavishly illustrated in monochrome (although the annual front page is in colour). Wonderfully dated and enchanting insight into the life of young Victorian girls of certain class. Colour frontispiece. Green cloth boards, decorated with gilt stamp titles and bevelled edges. 4to. Lightly rubbed at edges, fraying on corners and a little loose but clean and internally bright. Nice volume.
