A slim volume recording Richard Aldington’s impressions and recollections of novelist D H Lawrence. Aldington was a pioneer of the Imagist movement in poetry, under the influence of Ezra Pound who he met early in life. He was a long-term friend of Lawrence and, although their relationship was at times tense and strained, some years later Aldington would go on to write a definitive biography of Lawrence, Portrait of a Genius, But…The Life of D H Lawrence. A trade issue of this work was published in the same year.
