Complete in 24 volumes. All copies first thus. Volumes uniformly bound in black cloth with lettering on cloth and red relief on spine; gilt and red decoration using Agatha Christie’s initial and a dagger on upper panel. Top edges sprayed orange. Ornge endpapers. 8vos. All volumes in very good condition, some mild an occasional rounding on corners and spine ends, slight fading and dustiness on upper text block edges and some faint and occasional spotting on unsprayed edges; the very occasional minor mark on cloth. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight.

The 24-volume Agatha Christie Crime Collection was issued by Paul Hamlyn between 1968 and 1972. Each volume contains three novels or collections of short stories. Originally issued on a subscription basis only (and not sold in bookshops) it appears some subscribers lacked commitment as the later volumes are less common, and thus complete sets hard to find. The first volume in the set, that containing The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, includes a brief foreword by Agatha Christie and a facsimile reproduction of her signature.
