Undated but circa 2007.  Apparently a first edition, first printing.  Signed without dedication by Jim Bennett on the title page.  96pp, with colour and black and white illustrations.  Laminated, illustrated stiff card covers.  4to.  Some gentle wear along the fore edge of the front card covers else neat, clean, bright and tight throughout.

Jim Bennett, a former navel gunner and described in Horse and Hound as the Vale of Aylesbury’s ‘ultimate ambassador for hunting’ was huntsman for the Old Berkeley Hunt for 34 years. His memoirs form a remarkable record of change in rural lifestyles and attitudes to field sports and fox hunting in particular during the 20th century.
