First edition. [1936] 284pp, illustrated sparsely with monochrome plates. In a library binding, quarter-bound in blue leather over blue-cloth covered boards, with gilt lettering on spine. 8vo. Moderately worn and rubbed at edges, rounded on corners and spine ends, leather a little scuffed at spine ends. Ex lending library with attractive bookplate on front paste down and lender’s marks on front free endpaper, title page, copyright page and rear endpapers. Preliminary gutters repaired with bookbinders tapes, occasional page damage at edges, prelims a little toned. Broadhurst, formerly a London policeman tells of his time and experiences as a police officer first in London and then in Palestine in the early 20th century, where much of this time was spent combating the illegal drugs trade. Hard to find title.
