Undated but likely 1930s. A reissue, following first publication in 1907. Red cloth covered boards, with black titles to spine and blind embossed decoration on front board. Boards strong, square and clean, just a little rounded at corners. 254pp. Coloured endpapers. Mild spotting. In its original 2 shilling ‘yellow jacket’ dust jacket (just a little rubbed and chipped at edges and spine ends, short closed crease). Jacket fitted with archival-quality mylar wrapper to protect & prolong its life. It is not adhered to the book or to the jacket. This is Stratton-Porter, a popular American novelist in the early part of the 20th century, third novel, following the publication of Feckles in 1904.
