Complete in four volumes.  All four volumes are UK first editions, first printings, the first two volumes being published in 1974, volume three in 1975 and volume four in 1977.  All volumes bound in cloth-covered boards with titles on spine.  Volume one has plain endpapers, the rest have coloured endpapers.  8vos.  Cloth on some volumes slightly rubbed and/or pushed at spine tips, upper text block edges a little dust dulled, else volumes are neat, clean, bright and tight throughout.  All four volumes in their original dust wrappers, price clipped, very slightly bumped on extreme edges, showing just a little shelf wear and lightly sunned spines. 

A very presentable and pleasing complete of Isaac Asimov’s history of the United States of America.  Asimov, a biochemist, is best remembered as a science fiction writer, especially for his Foundation series.  Here he brings his talents for making almost any topic fascinating and understandable to the subject of the history of the United States.
