[1944] 36pp. Illustrated endpapers and colour illustrations by Eileen Soper throughout text. Blue pictorial boards (worn and rubbed all over, heavily rubbed and chipped at edges, backstrip absent and webbing beginning to fray, mildly soiled). Gift inscription, dated 1944, on front paste down, first two leaves detached and have old tape repair to gutter, last leaf detached, pages have small chips, bruises and creases at edges, some light signs of fingering. Oblong format. We would not usually offer a book in this condition, but it is a hard to find Blyton title which, if it can be sourced, is often expensive, and this copy at least has the benefit of being complete, readable and the illustrations are charming. This may fill a gap in a Blyton collection until a better copy can be sourced and afforded.
