Quarter bound in tan cloth covered marbled boards (gently rubbed at corners and spine ends). Some spotting on endpapers else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. Douglas Cockerell was a leading bookbinding in the early part of the twentieth century. He compiled this book from his teaching notes and lectures; his essay ‘Notes on Bookbinding’ is included, although his free-form illustrations used in lectures are here replaced by fine drawings by Doris Meyer. 12mo.
