First edition, second impression. 302pp, tissue guarded colour plate frontispiece and further black and white plate illustrations in text. In red publisher’s cloth-covered boards, gilt-stamped decorations and lettering on the front panel and spine. Top edge gilt. Fore edge untrimmed. 8vo. Cloth is worn, rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends, some marks and soiling, heavily sunned over spine and a little rippled on verso. Fore and lower text block edges a little soiled. Internally a little faint spotting on first and last few leaves; tissue guard heavily tanned.
